Laguna Paron: Located at an altitude of 4.200 masl, is the biggest lake of the Cordillera Blanca. Excellent view of now peaks over 6,000 meters. In the ravine of the same name one can find a forest of an endemic Andean trees called Quenual and the rock walls covered with bromeliaceas  and orchids. Excellent view of Paron Tower and the Sphinx.

Winchus Viewpoint: One of the highest points of the Cordillera Negra(4.300 masl)  where you can see spectacular view of Santa Valley and the  Cordillera Blanca. Puyas Raymondi (10--12 meters high plants that live more thatn 100 years). This is one of the special places in the Andes where you can find Puyas Place where they emphasize the RODALES de Puyas.

Cañon del Pato (Duck Canyon): Impressive canyon where Cordillera Blanca and the Cordillera Negra are separated only by few meters. The panorama is majestic with deep cliffs and the tunnels passing throug the rock. This highway connects the region with the coast.

Lagoons Llanganuco: one of the most visited areas of the Huascarán National Park. It has two lagoons Chinancocha (Female Lagoon) and Orconcocha (Male Lagoon). Excellent view  of Snow peaks, such as Huascarán (6768 masl), Chopicalqui (6354 masl), Chacraraju (6112 masl) and Handoy (6395 masl).

Pastoruri Glacier: located at an altitude over 5.200 masl, is one of the easiest access glaciers. During the route it is possible to visit lagoons, gasified waters, cave paintings and the Puyas Raymondi.

Chavín de Huantar: Ceremonial Center of one of the oldest cultures in Peru, It conserves intact its stone architecture. The most important evidences of its culture is the Stone Nail heads (cabezas clavas), the Lanzon a big carved rock that represents the most important divinity and the underground galleries.   It was declared Cultural Patrimony of the Humanity by UNESCO.

Monterrey, Chancos y Huancarhuaz Spring Baths:
Thermal baths of medicinal waters that can reach temperatures of 74 degrees Celsius. (165 F)

Trekking routes at the White Mountain range:

  • Santa Cruz – Llanganuco:
    4 days trek of spectacular landscapes, it is the second most commercial trekking in Peru after the Inca trail to Machu Picchu.
  • Lagoon 69 (Laguna 69)
    Excellent trekking to acclimatize .Starts from the QUEBRADA DEMANDA at the  Llanganuco sector, after 3 hours hike up to Laguna situated at an altitude 4.400 masl. On the way one can appreciate a forest of Quenuales and other species of flora and fauna. Impressive  view of  Chacraraju Glacier.
  • Caraz to Yungay Trek
    Long walk of 6 hours , connects  the cities of Caraz and Yungay through a trail used by the local people; one will find excellent views of the Putaca, Huandoy and Huascarán snow peaks and of the Santa Valley  as well as small villages with typical architecture of the Andes.

Trekking at the Huayhuash Range:

Mountain range of approximately 30 km of length shared between three regions of Huanuco, Ancash and Lima. The Cordillera Huayhuash is considered one of most spectacular landscaping Mountain ranges of the world, this route is one of the TOP 10 WORLD TREKS. The second highest Glacier in Peru (Yerupaja) is located

     Round Trip to the Huayhuash Mountain range.
          Duration 10 - 12 days.
          Distance 180 km
          Difficulty: Moderate to difficult.

     Llamac - Jaguacocha.
          Duration 2-3 days.
          Distance 28 km
          Difficulty: Moderate to Difficult.
